QUARTZ crystals come in many formations. Important formations from a healing and consciousness expansion perspective include:

 

BRIDGE Crystal: Also known as PENETRATOR or INNER CHILD Crystal.  A large crystal with a smaller crystal(s) which penetrates and is located partially in, and partially out of the larger crystal.  This configuration differs from a Manifester (see Manifestation crystal below)  in that a Manifester is completely enclosed within the other crystal and a Penetrator clearly shows a point of entry into the host crystal. It facilitates bridging between the inner and outer worlds, between the self and others, and the self and other worlds. It is believed this crystal is quite beneficial when a person is striving to work with various aspects of spirituality or to heal childhood issues blocking growth.  Additionally, these crystals are their best when the person is working on advanced metaphysical areas, and are attempting to share this knowledge with others seeking a spiritual path.  This is the ultimate spiritual teacher's crystal.   

 

 

DEVIC TEMPLE Crystals – These clear quartz crystals have rainbows of trapped air, water and gass – known as veils, foils or fairy frost.  To identify this crystal we look at  the inclusions within the crystal. The shelves or flat ledges (internal fractures) tend to make the stones look like ancient temples, complete with stairways and / or doorways. These crystals can display impressions of other worlds, temples, and faces or outlines of beings inside. Earth spirits are said to reside in these crystals, sitting on the flat ledges. Devic Temple crystals are said to facilitate communication with nature and  earth spirits.

 

 

DOUBLE TERMINATED Crystal -   A crystal that has a single termination on each end. The energy flows in both directions at once, and can draw or transmit energy through both ends. These doubly powerful crystals are great for dreaming, meditation, and astral projection.

 

CATHEDRAL LIGHTBRARIES -  In reference to clear quartz, a Cathedral is a crystal that has no upper dividing line between the facet and one of its sides (relatively rare, and often found as the opposite side of the receiver face of a Receiver Crystal). Another usage is that of an upright crystal with all of its facets resembling the spires and towers of a church cathedral.  Amethyst Cathedrals (or Churches) are usually tall, thin geodes (again, resembling church towers) that have been cut to display the sacred inner sanctum of amethyst (and other) crystals.

 

CHANNELLING / INITIATION Crystals -  Channelling Crystals have a large face that is seven sided, with a small triangular face directly opposite of the apex of the large face. Some psychics use a channelling crystal with the large face pressed against their third eye to help bring in information more easily. they also activate the higher chakras and bring one into alignment and contact with the Higher Self.   It is believed the Channelling crystal can be used for obtaining information from deep within yourself or from sources that are outside of your normal realm. The number seven is a metaphysical number symbolic of the student, the mystic, and the seeker of deeper truths and spiritual wisdom. Each side of the seven sides of the main face represents the  seven qualities that the human consciousness must attain in order to access and channel the wisdom of the inner soul.   

 

DOW / TEMPLE HEART Crystals -  A crystal with three, primary, seven-sided faces and three secondary triangular faces between them. This versatile crystal represents near perfect balance, and can assist in just about all matters. It is believed this crystal is a combination crystal that incorporates the properties of both a Channneller and a Transmitter crystal in one crystal. It helps facilitate intuitive awareness and connection with “All That Is”.  It is considered one of the "Twelve Master Crystals" and is a powerful teaching and healing crystal.

 

ELESTIAL  (or Elestiated) Crystal – This crystal, sometimes called Skeleton Quartz. The youngest form of quartz on earth, it is unlike any other form of quartz. An Elestial is recognized by natural terminations over the body and face of an etched and/or layered crystal. Flowing terminations (usually not sharp) have formed over the faces and body of the crystal, and are usually tabular, rectangular or square, with rounded corners. Markings on the surface can have the appearance of cryptic hieroglyphics, a cosmic alphabet of sorts. It can assist one in overcoming emotional burdens, to bring the heart and intellect into synchronicity, and to help one look within and to find the love that has always been there.

 

ENHYDRO Crystals  - Enhydros have places within their bodies or under their faces that have formed small pockets of water and air. Often this shows up as an air bubble that flits back and forth in a pocket of water. Other times there is debris inside the water that flows back and forth as you turn the crystal. Enhydros are very interesting to look into. Just think how old the water inside must be! Carrying water, the force of life, enhydros are quite useful in healing, especially in combination with other stones. They are also helpful to alleviate stress and anxiety while one is moving through major life changes.

 

FADEN-LINED Crystal  - These are crystals that have clearly visible within their interior structure a milky feather line, that usually runs through the crystal.  Faden lines manifest primarily in tabby shaped crystals, but have on extremely rare occasions, have been found in a normal single point crystal.   It is believed that the line represents the seed point of growth and they have the ability to activate or start new growth within one's self or within someone you are working with, utilizing healing energy.

 

GENERATORS - The Energy crystals, also known as Merlin crystals.  A Generator is a  crystal with all six faces meeting at the top termination in a near-perfect point. These powerful crystals generate and project energy, and are extraordinary meditation tools.  It is useful for stimulating all portions of the physical, intellectual, emotional, spiritual and subtle bodies.   A small  Merlin crystal is excellent to use as a pendulum.  Generators are often polished but sometimes natural with their bases cut flat to cause them to ‘stand up’. They are often used in the centre of healing grids and are powerful stones for focusing.

 

ISIS Crystal - A crystal with a five-sided face is called an Isis crystal.  It is believed the Isis crystal will put you in touch with and strongly amplify your feminine energy, and can help you get in touch with the 'female' or unselfish side of yourself, no matter whether you are a man or a woman. Isis crystals put you in touch with the power of the Goddess. For men, the Isis crystal will help you become more in tune with your feminine side and to become more aware of the aspects of women that you may find troubling. For women, the Isis crystal gives strength and helps you regain some of the power and energy that society has taken from you.  Carry an Isis Crystal with you when dealing with emotional troubles.

 

KEY Crystal – The key crystal is recognized by a three or six-sided indentation somewhere on the crystal. It is believed the Key crystal can be used to unlock the doors to healing, help answer difficult questions, solve problems, and access information to that which is hidden.

 

LASER WANDS -  Laser Wands are long crystals that resemble a wand. They are often a bit wider on the bottom than on the top. This interesting shape lends to the Laser wand’s ability to focus energy. The laser wand’s ability to focus energy and thought make it an excellent tool for telepathic communication.

 

MANIFESTATION Crystal – This Crystal is recognized by a small crystal totally enclosed within a larger crystal. It is believed to help people who have had a traumatic, physically or emotionally, childhood. They are helpful for people who are blocking painful memories. They help bring the cause of the pain to the surface and allow the person to successfully deal with it, while shielding that person from the pain those memories can cause. These crystals work well for people who are working through current family problems.  The use of the manifestation crystal requires the inner knowledge that one is a clear and perfect channel, that a pure white light provides the guiding way, and that the purity of the Divine is within the inner self.  They can also be used to facilitate artistic creativity, creative thinking, agricultural pursuits, and to increase or decrease any aspect of ones life. 

 

PHANTOM Crystal: The Phantom crystal is comprised of a white or coloured material and may be partial or complete. The phantoms within a crystal provide an indication of the experiences and the transformations the crystal has undergone in its evolution. The crystal represents the many phases and the many types of life which may be experienced during ones lifetime. It is one of the Earth stones to be used for redemption and cleansing of the earth. The energy of the phantom works to bring together the participants of humanity to save the planet.

 

RAINBOW Crystal have a fracture or fractures within the crystal body that bend light into rainbow colours. The rainbow within is representative of joy in all things, making it an excellent stone for emotional healing on all levels, particularly depression. Rainbow crystals are also known to promote positive transformation and spiritual balance.

 

 

RECORD KEEPERS -  Raised or Sunken Record Keeper - Crystals can be identified by small or large, slightly raised triangular pyramid-shaped markings on one or more crystal faces, these may be raised or sunken on the face.  A crystal within which wisdom is stored.  It is thought that when one properly attunes with this crystal, the ancient knowledge and profound secrets of the universe can be psychically retrieved. Record keepers are thought to carry ancient information within the triangular shapes.It is thought that hey have been consciously and purposefully programmed by the beings who created the energies which have culminated in the actualization of life on this plane, and by their direct descendants [e.g., the Atlanteans and Lemurians].  Only those with open minds and pure hearts can access the information stored in the record keeper crystalOften they are used for meditation, channeling, and spiritual attunement. The records within record keepers are accessed by rubbing the slightly raised triangles with the thumb or forefinger during meditation.

 

SCEPTRE Quartz - A Scepter Crystal is a crystal that has a bulbous, pudgy point that sits atop a thinner crystal body. It can look a bit like a spear point or a sceptre, for which it was named. Sceptre quartz crystals are a symbol of divine authority. Sceptres promote confidence and improve psychic attunement and telepathic communication.

 

SELF-HEALED Crystal -  Crystals which have "sealed" over their broken end with small triangular shaped facets, which also smoothes the broken edge (there is controversy on whether it happened millennia ago when the crystal broke in its formation or if it is currently happening now).  They may heal at the termination or in the body of the point.  Because these crystals have healed themselves, they are viewed as particularly powerful healing stones.

 

 

TABULAR Crystals -  A crystal that is flat, with two of its six sides being at least twice as wide as the others. Also known as Tabbies, these special crystals emit a very high vibration and are not found in all mines. Tabbies are strong, powerful connecting communicators, and are excellent tools for bridging any gaps. Tabular Crystals often become personal meditation pieces or private teacher crystals.

 

TANTRIC TWINS -   Twin Crystal Twin - A crystal with two points on a common base is called a twin crystal.  You can tell a twin crystal from two crystals that are simply attached to each other, by the fact that both parts of a twin crystal are exactly parallel to each other, and have no boundary between them. It is believed the Twin crystal can generate positive energy toward improving a relationship.  They can help you gain insight into the underlying problems in a relationship, and help work through them.  This works for any kind of relationship, not only a man-woman relationship. A twin with a rainbow can be very effectively used to project healing energy into a relationship or to keep a good relationship strong.

TRANSMITTER / INTEGRATION Crystals -  Transmitter Crystal – A crystal with two symmetrical seven-sided faces on both sides of a three-sided triangular face. The triangle will always be in the centre of the crystal’s faces, with a seven-sided face on either side of it. Transmitters are often Record Keepers as well, and are outstanding tools for sending and receiving telepathic messages.

 

WINDOW Crystals -  A Window Crystal is a crystal that has an extra face, adjacent to two of the larger faces, that is usually small rectangular or diamond shaped.. Sometimes these windows are a bit more elongated or trapezoidal, but they will have four sides. Window crystals are used to enhance telepathy, open windows to past lives and parallel ones. They are helpful in clearing one’s perception and achieving better communication with the Higher Self.  It is believed this crystal will open a ‘window to your soul.’ and help you get intuitive answers to questions and bypass the ego or intellect.  They are used for clarity and direction.
